What is it? Why is it important?

When is it? Where is it celebrated?

International Women's Day is a day of celebration for women and their achievements throughout history, across nations, in social, economic, cultural and political. For International Women's Day 2017 the theme is to #BeBoldForChange.

International Women's Day is important as it's a chance to give women a voice and a step on the right path to achieve and be brave for a change. It gives women worldwide a day to speak their silenced voice. It offers the chance to celebrate the contributions women have added to the world. It provides women with information and a reminder of the inequality in society.

International Women's Day is held annually on (and around) 8th March.

International Women's Day is celebrated worldwide.

Here at Motherwell in Cheshire we are celebrating it with you in Crewe and Winsford.

#winsfordwomensday and #crewewomensday follow the success of our Crewe Womens Day in 2016, this year will be even bigger !!

The line up for both events show cases equality at its very best. Talks by local women who have shown being a woman has not held them back in their life; it will be great to hear their stories and be inspired.

The workshops and demonstrations will definitely inspire many of you, we have chosen an array of workshops for you all to try. Both events are not to be missed, come along “be inspired and believe in yourself”

The Motherwell team will be at both events showcasing the great services that we provide in both towns.
